Apple did not patch the flaws found by the development team, the Evad3rs, behind the jailbreak tool. According to 9to5Mac website quoting the well known hacker pod2g iOS (or rather: Security researcher), the latest iOS 6.1.1 beta "does not patch" the jailbreak of iOS. Perhaps a correction is expected "in a future release."

However, Pod2g plays the safe game adding that the jailbreaking iOS 6.1 is not designed to run on the beta version of iOS 6.1.1. So all those who want to jailbreak their phones are strongly advise staying away from the new beta version of iOS.

Although Evad3rs have managed to set up a "untethered" jailbreak on iOS 6.1, which was released less than a week, it must be remembered that the group had its tool available to the public only when the final version of iOS 6.1 was released to the public, this is mailny to not give Apple have the time to patch the hole exploited by the jailbreak.
