MobileMe is definitively closed

After announcing the arrival of icloud, the replacement of MobileMe, Apple had warned users though email of the impending closure of the MobileMe service on June 30, 2012.

To convince the last skeptic to move to icloud, Apple have even offered additional free storage space and even a free copy of Snow Leopard to existing MobileMe users. Last May, Apple had also published a FAQ stating that MobileMe users having already paid for 20GB of storage space on MobileMe, will have the same amount of space in icloud until September 30, 2012.

Users of previous version of Mac OS X had even been offered free copies of Mac OS Snow Leopard so they can install the Mac App Store and migrate to Mac OS X Lion, which is required to take advantage of certain features in icloud.

iCloud will receive later this year, probably around October, the ability to synchronize Notes and Reminders.
