The most expensive version of the Apple MacBook Pro with Retina display, since its release, has always been the least attractive laptop for the clients, mainly because of its high price. In comparison, the basic model (not Retina) in 13 inch is much cheaper and starts from € 1,199. With sales of iPad cannibalising income of the sale of Macs, Apple undoubtedly seeks to attract the interest of consumers by applying this kind of discounts and small changes in CPU speed.

For those wishing to get a MacBook Air, Apple also reduced the price of the high-end model. The 256 GB version now costs € 1,399 or € 100 less than the previous price.
